On the
Corner (Of Oh Shit and Oh My God)
by Larry Furman
I'd been
working thru the night
the rain just started to fall
he flew thru red light
hit me like a brick wall
on the
corner of oh shit and oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
hit me like
a brick wall
The car
was gettin' old
it almost ran ok
no heat no radio
and no monthly note to pay
on the
corner of oh shit and oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
no monthly
note to pay
now
the damage was complete
the
car’s a total loss
I got blisters on my
feet
I wish I had a horse
I used to
walk on the beach
To watch
the dolphins play
Now I got
tar-balls on my feet
No
dolphins there today
on the
corner of oh shit and oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
oh shit and
oh my God
no dolphins
there today
the damage is complete
the
gulf will slowly die
I got tarballs on my
feet
I’m just askin’ why
